I am using Encase. I have a file with the icon saying "file archived". It is showing as a txt file with a signature match. I would have thought that meant the file was zipped, but I found this definition of archive
These are used with the cd/dvd module to create images that wil contain reports and files to be burned directly to cd/dvd with this optional module.
There is also a folder with the same name as the txt file, but instead its an XLS, but with the folder icon. Does this mean that the file was burned to a CD?
Thanks
Archive in the description means the archive bit was set in the file attributes.
Not entirely sure what you mean about the second bit, im guessing you or something may have mounted the spreadsheet so you're seeing it as a folder.
