Hello all.
I am trying to open an .aol file from 2004.
Message Spy was used to keep logs of these AIM conversations. I have these saved on an external hard drive (a full backup of a computer that has since been reformatted). I tried running Message Spy from the external hard drive, but it either doesn't like being run from the external drive, or it doesn't like Windows 7, or Windows 7 doesn't like it, or the default hotkey was changed, or something else. I tried to redownload the installer for Message Spy, but all links point to the Zermericks site, which is down. I'm not even sure it would run on Windows 7 anyway. I don't need it to log anything now, I just need to be able to view the encrypted logs from 2004.
I desperately need to decrypt two of these saved conversations. I know exactly which files they are by looking at the program log, I just can't figure out how to be able to read them.
If anybody knows where I could find a working install for Message Spy, that might be helpful too.
Anybody?
Thanks.
