Hey, I want to start delving into Enscript, so I'm looking for some online material? Does anyone know of a good resource?

Regards
L

The Guidance EnScript forum would be the best place to start.

Hi,

Lance Mueller has a great site with a tutorial on EnScripts. Just search the site and you'll find them, there are three if I recall.

http//www.forensickb.com/

There's also an EnCast from GSI that covers the basic stuff, it's called Super Basic Stuff wtih EnScript.

As Jonathan said Guidance maintain a forum for enscript.

But generally, (and I'm comparing it probably unfairly with, for example MSDN) Enscript is painfully under documented , class definitions and just a little bit more, I get the impression it's all focused around the the courses.

Which if you're in the UK is a problem as Guidance are only doing Enscript I as not enought people want to do II.
Enscript I is fairly basic if, for etc., the meat of Enscript being in Enscript II

Other than that your best bet is the help file that comes with Encase itself.
(Help->Enscript Help…). Lance Mullers page has a lot of useful pointers.

Also, I tend to learn languages by digging into example code, the scripts installed with Encase are good examples and give a good idea of the 'special' way that Enscripts work.

There are a ton of good simple examples in the 'EnScript Class help.chm' from Guidance. plus there is an EnScript download center with some more complex stuff, but the CHM is the place to start. There is also a very old language reference.
