I have a HP AT105-T1016 (Thrive) tablet to examine. It appears to be running Android based on the specs of the device. There does not appear to be any removable system drive/memory (other than the external SD Card which I've imaged). The only tear down site I could find wants over 1200 bucks for a 19 page tear down report….

My question is; should I treat this as a cell phone and try and extract data that way using a Cellebrite or should I be able to get a forensic image of the device another way?

I think using the Cellebrite will limit the data I will gather from it vs getting an image. I have no experience in imaging any tablets, yet.

Thanks for any replies.

I'm curious to know if you ever found a way to examine this device? I have one to examine in a C/P case and only have the UFED Touch Ultimate at my disposal. Unfortunately, the Thrive isn't supported at this time.
