Hello,
I have been asked at work to recover sent emails from somebody that left the business.
We use Office 2007, and Exchange. I have a copy of the users OST file.
However, we believe that the user in question "permanently delete" the sent items, and had in fact, transferred some data off-site.
These are the deleted emails I am interested in.
I have tried using parabens Email Examiner,… with 'Scan for deleted Items' turned on… however, the program always gives me a read/write error, and crashes out.
Do i have to convert the OST file to a PST file before using parabens? And if so… does doing that preserve all the permanently deleted files that are there.
Or does anyone have any tips on how i can look for permenantly deleted items in a users OST/ Exchange mail box?
Thanks for your time.
There are several programs that you can use to recover deleted emails.
The question I would ask the person asking you to recover them is what there intentions are if you can recover them.
Greetings,
The post from julie178 is most likely spam, or close to it. There are at least two similar posts and this one is in response to a thread that is over six months old.
