Hi all,

Currently, the legal community in Germany wonders how this case might end
http//translate.google.de/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.internet-law.de%2F2012%2F02%2Famtsgericht-lasst-facebook-account-beschlagnahmen.html

The district court Reutlingen has arranged the seizure of a Facebook account in a criminal case. However, Facebook argues that it does not maintain any subsidiary in Germany which is able to deliver the requested data (the court had turned to Facebook Germany GmbH at Hamburg). Facebook indicates that it might release the data when the court contacts its subsidiary in Ireland. Some people generally doubt the willingness to cooperate. In my opinion, in Ireland at least there has to be some access to the data, as this subcompany is obliged to process requests on disclosure of personal data accordingly to privacy protection law.

I'm excited to read your experience on this matter, especially from Europe.

Thanks,
Richard
