Anyone know of anything better than Belkin's Facebook Profile Saver to archive a FB profile (someone else's) ? http//forensic.belkasoft.com/en/facebook_profile_saver

This works, but it doesn't include date/time on posts in finished product.

So you have access to the profile from the private side or just public.

Sorry Igor, I'm afraid I'm not that familiar with this social media site!

Yes it is safe. If I recall correctly, you need to be logged into a Facebook account, however separate to the target account you are trying to acquire/download the data from. (so you do not need the Login credentials for your target Facebook account).

Good evening,

I'm the developer of the FFT - thanks for your interest - feel free to connect with my via PM if you have any queries or would like a demonstration edition.

The application does require you to authenticate to the FB servers using a login - this is *not* saved or passed anywhere other than to FB. If you want to verify this, a network sniffer can help or you could block all traffic to any site other than FB.com (incl. https)

IEF is an excellent tool - we use it in our labs - but it will not help with online eDiscovery or preservation of FB profile content, which is what I understand you are trying to do. I'd recommend downloading a copy of the Belkasoft application as well as the FFT - between the two tools, you should be able to get everything you need.

Good luck,
Ross @afentis
