How to FULLY delete a FaceBook account to reach the goal of having ALL DATA deleted one ever had posted?

Just account cancellation is insufficiant. How to enforce ALL DATA ever posted gets deleted?
Any website for online search of FB traces remaining available - who knows of?

Is it possible to get a confirmation from FB that ALL DATA was deleted from partners?

I know, silly question. But as users ask this by themselfs, I also need to know.

Who is a FB expert related to data-at-rest and data-in-cloud?

How to FULLY delete a FaceBook account to reach the goal of having ALL DATA deleted one ever had posted

Ask Facebook after the 25th May. Once GDPR is an active law in the EU, they should be able to delete all data they have from a person. But even today there is a "Activity Protocol" (or similar in its translation) which can be used to delete your posts and likes. If you delete them all, only account information remains for Facebook- and several copies of your posts on backups, but this is another story.

best regards,
Robin

Thank you Robin.

Any tool to run a web crawler to self-check/test?

Once you have deleted all your posts and reactions to other`s posts, this archive file should be empty. I am sure there are more "forensic sound" solutions out there, but i do not know them.

Impossible to truly delete everything of course. Many years ago, I had a FB account which I deleted once I got into my current line of work, and I did a thorough job of it, too. A long time later, I found a dusty old netbook that I hadn't fired up in a long time, put some charge into it and opened the lid and lo and behold was looking at my old Facebook page. Of course it was just a very old cached version, but it startled me briefly.

Somewhere out there will be an archive or cache or whatever, perhaps even well out of Facebook's (and the content creator's) control. It may not be trivial to actually find it, which is really what people are asking you, and the best that you can do once it's out there. I am confident that it would now be very, very hard for most bad actors to find a trace of my old Facebook account - or should I say, I was confident. Perhaps Cambridge Analytica know differently…

Absolutely. As FB shares and sells all the data the question is Where did it go and where to request deletion. Ok, mission impossible.

But there must be a new way to fully find people's shared data by themself or more problematic by players like FB.

As this looks like a civil problem in real its a problem of digital evidence of suspects. They have year-long traces of data, location and events.

How can we (I only speak for LE) find a more complete data collection of data? This problem will rise more and more. Everybody on this planet has and gets more and more data.

Does history data proof more not guilty or more guilty? Open question to solve.

Related to terror the line of unlawful widens into lawful. But the trend goes to further back history of data and behavior.

The element of Pre-Crime becomes absolutely central and crucial.

New kid in town PreCrime Evidence - just embrace it.

Good science fiction often tends to highlight possible issues with future technologies

At least Philip K.d**k described the presence of three Precogs, allowing the minority report to exist.

"Prevention and control"?

If you mean "Facebook",

By what? On their ( FB) backup unknown capabilities and servers, capabilities, unknown to the naive public?

Who told you, that the FB backups are on FB dedicated servers?? or server, which MAY BE legally connected (directly or indirectly) to the FB?

From the first day of operation, they have FULL [ 3 way] backups of every single customer's move.
But it is sensitive subject, not able to comment, anyway. Sorry.

We know years before, that some firms do this ( like CA).
The CA CEO visit in USA, some time ago, really warned many peoples. Red flags, you know… . But then, everyone wants to put finger in the honey pot, and to make and drink the nectar.

But the fight today is not FB- it is the advertisement pie of FB and Google.
BIG fight, with the known, behind curtains, strong old participants - one must really carefully listen, what is told on these Davos forums- it is very educational to do this.
