We have a drive that was processed in FTK 2.2.1 in which we need to create a file listing of all files on the hard drive. That goes fine except many of the files have hebrew characters as their file names and when exporting as a .csv file and importing into .xls they are not recognized and become different characters. Does anyone have a work around for this in order to have these characters recognized upon exporting?
pronie2121, this may seem like an obvious answer but are you certain you have the correct language packs and regional settings for Windows and Office? I know in the past when I have worked with PST files that contain Cyrillic text I have actually had to change my regional and language settings to say that I am in Russia in order for these characters to be interpretted and displayed correctly. That of course then meant when I was typing it was in Cyrillic.
Apologies if you have already tried this.
