Hi,

I’m assuming that you meant reinstalled Windows several times. If this is the case you may be able to recover the screenshot with special software .The chances of successful recovery would depend on a number of variables such as the size of your HDD and how long you have been using it since the reinstalls.

If you have formatted and reinstalled windows don’t expect to find anything using the operating systems search utility….you will need a software package that recovers information that may be found in the new install's “unallocated areas”…

Don’t know if the cost would be worth it if you don’t already posses the tools…

Hope this helps…

One of the cheaper ones would be Winhex, other members may know of another alternative.

When did you last view one of these screenshots?
How big is the hard drive?

I don’t know if I understand you correctly but if you last viewed these screenshots in early 2000 and have been working on the PC for a full year after having re-installed Windows I would venture a guess that they would be gone…
