"I have come across some files in the Windows subdirectory having the file name FIZ (sequential number), no extension (ex FIZ3 FIZ4). These files appear to be Internet History log files. Does anyone know how these are created, by what software, and anything else you may know about them."

I am posting this question for one of my colleagues so I really do not have any further information.

I appreciate your help.

Appears to be part of several versions of malware including MSBB.exe, redsheriff, VX2, vundoo, etc.

HijackThis and EWIDO should help clear up the problem.
