Anyone ever repair a damaged floppy and get the data off it.
If I were to take a pen and jam it through the "tape" of the floppy, poking a hole, would it be possible to repair the floppy? And get the data off?
What if I were to cut a slit in the tape with a letter opener?
What if I were to take a small lighter, pull back the shutter and burn/melt some of the disk?
Thoughts? Experiences?

Good afternoon,
I saved a copy of the episode, and it discusses the case, and the techniques used on a 5.25 inch disk (not sure if it would work on other disks).
The video is over 100MB, so email is out of the question.
But, some good news! The episode was called 'Shear Luck'
And, according to the CourtTV site
http//
it will air on Sunday, Oct 8th at 130 PM.
Cheers,
Christine

wow…what are the chances that the topic that interests me will air this sunday. Not only will it conflict with NFL football.
But I will be out of town on a golf trip to celebrate (mourn) my passing from bachlorhood to married life
Can you make it available for me to download?
thx anyway,
