There are many books detailing procedures for forensic examination of computer systems. A quick search of Amazon will provide many reference tomes.

My book has some case studies, and "Real Digital Forensics" outlines some of what you're asking for, but the reason you don't find such things more often is that no one wants these things to get out…

Harlan's book is "Windows Forensic Analysis."

What experience level do you have in relation to forensics? If a student, the Nelson book is probably the classic one if one is comfortable with a command line.

Why do you need it solved? Just wondering.

I guess I do not know what it is you are looking to find. As Harlan pointed out many Real World cases tend to get sealed. I am sure you could review your law library but I can assure you the cases you find there will be less than scintillating reading.

If you are looking for a step-by-step guide for a case you are planning to undertake, I hope you consider what you could be in for. As many before me have cautioned, treat every case as if it will end up in court. If you are looking for some good guides consider following
Real Digital Forensics Computer Security and Incident Response by Jones, Bejtlich & Rose

Mastering Windows Network Forensics and Investigation by Anson & Bunting

Windows Forensics The Field Guide for Corporate Computer Investigations by Steel

The "Hacking Exposed" series by Davis, Cowen & Philipp et al. provides good step-by-step.

If you are looking for something else, if you can provide some info as to what it is you have found that does not meet your needs, there are sure to be suggestions.
