Forensic Image Scanners are needed to scan images and identify images with sexual content. The reason why they are needed is to save time for the analyst instead of going through all of the images, these scanners should scan the whole drive and pick up all the suspicious images. The technologies that are used to scan the images are either a skin tone scanner (Scanner that picks up on the skin tone parts of the image) or Data-Matching Technology, match parts of the image with images with other pornographic content. There are few tools outthere. I have tested few of them myself, but i did not have any sexual content to trest it on, however, it did pick up images with naked arms some website logos from the temp folder. the tools i tested are below

http//www.mediadetective.com
http//www.surfrecon.com
http//www.contentpurity.com

surfrecon, try to identified images with child porn as an added option for the law enforcement license type (again, I didn't test it). I am sure there are other tools outthere, I hope you find this post useful, and please reply with tools that you used or tested and found useful or accurate.

Regards
