Thanks Rich.
It may seem that nothing is happening ? But this is still ongoing - just that all involved have been busy with fee paying things 😉
I have hope that the next few weeks will see a little more movement, as work dies off for Christmas …
Many Thanks,
Azrael
Not to resurrect a dead thread. But did anything actually come out of this? I for one would love to see a standard set for the industry.
I think the number one issue is everyone does it differently. I was reviewing another "vendor's" work recently and was completely shocked at their collection method and complete lack of documentation. As well as the fact that from what the end client told me, they had no real clue what they were doing when they did the collection.
I think a dedicated, peer reviewed society would be a great establishment.
Fair comment, in fact I was thinking just recently that it might be nice to try and kickstart things again. I'll send a couple of emails.
Jamie
Please add me to that email list. I'd love to help.
Though I am still very new to the field and still bust studying I woud be very interested in assisting in this project. So if I can be of assistance please let me know.
If this actually gets off the ground I'm in.
Count me in as well.

Add me to the list, I'll help in whatever way possible.
Considering the post was first made in July 2007 and still has not got to no where, I doubt it this one will get anywhere. HOWEVER, if anyone is intersted to take it and sees this post, please count me in.
Though my background is not stricktly Digital Forensics and it is Ethical Hacking & Network security. But I am good with C programming, Java, C#, Webdesigning in general and I know some assembly as well. I also have CCNA qualification which I am sure the knowledge can be to some use.
So Yeah, please do count me in if you go ahead with it.
Don't be so quick to discount -P We may move like glaciers, but we do move !
Fact is that most of us already work a 50 hour week or more, so finding time is a little difficult.
