I am a great believer that those studying or working in digital forensics use forensics equally for trade services in business environments and consumer fields and not limit the skillsets to dealing with evidence only.

The .pdf from EY demonstrates very well how large organisations with forensics services are turning their profile to promotes services to resolving problems such as cybercrime as opposed to cybercrime specialists using forensics as one tool in their armoury.

My post is not an advertisement for that company and I am not promoting the use of their services; but I do like the way they promote and illustrate the benefits of forensic outcomes.

Might be particularly useful for students wondering which direction to take and skills to develop. Equally, large organisations these days are seeking cost-effective solutions and looking at small businesses to see what solutions they offer.

Some extra information that I have just posted at my blog which may be of help
