Hi all,
my office have been using FTK 3.04 for some time quite successfully. Recently every time we try to create a new case, all the
case details are entered, press ok and after a short time we get "encountered error unable top create case"
We can access the database and examine existing cases with no problem. has anyone had this problem, if so is there a known fix.
Database/Kff is stored and a seperate server.

Cheers
Andy

Andy,

Does the user that you are signing into FTK with have permission to create cases?

Have you tried signing into FTK with the FTK Administrator account (the first account that is created as part of the install process)?

Have you tried creating a case using a different case folder directory?

Have tried both and using different machines to log on. Seems likely to be a fault at the server end but I am at a loss to know what it may be.

If you haven't already, I suggest you email AccessData (support@accessdata.com) or call their Tech Support number.

To find the root cause of the problem try following set of things
1. Try restarting the service
2. Check the space on the drive where Oracle is installed
3. Play with the software to find if it is creating appropriate folder for the case data to be loaded

Hope that this will help )
Regards,
Sudha
