On another note, I have seen another benefit with Postgress. You can now choose to kick off another DB for every case, This has some performance impact depending on where you might choose to place this DB, but it leaves the cases completely mobile and you are able to archive and move cases between machines a lot better. It might be worth your while trying it on smaller cases to get used to it.

AccessData have indicated that they are working hard to get better performance out of Postgress compared to what they have been getting up until now and tweaks are happening in the background constantly.

To answer the question for those who are more comfortable with Oracle - You can download a copy of the Oracle installation disk here http//accessdata.com/downloads/current_releases/ftk/Oracle_DB_6-0_Install.iso

I am trying to install kff for postgreSQL in my SIFT Virtual machine to take the ACE exam. I keep getting an error during installation "internal error 25101.1". How much space does this version of KFF need?

I got the same error. I had to go in by hand and drop all the FTK items in postgres, then let FTK recreate all the FTK databases, and then KFF installed OK.
