Its been awhile since I've messed with FTK & I remember a few years back you could download the full version & use it for free for up to a certain amount of files, etc. I just downloaded the newest version, installed it & now its telling me it needs a security key or codemeter to run. Do they still offer a limited version? My EnCase dongle is expiring in 3 weeks & I'm going to start the forensic part of my CCE test soon. Thoughts? Thank you

The last time I checked FTK v1.8 still had a trial version (I don't believe the newer versions have a trial version without contacting AD). Go to the AD website > product downloads > past releases. You should be able to download a trial version of v1.8 from there.
