Alright, I'm looking for ideas for a Full Server to be put to use in a money making scheme related to forensics… or anything
Anyone have any ideas, they don't have time to pull off?
or want to join in on a major programming project? or project itself…

Please, Any ideas will be useful!
Thank you,

I'm not sure I'd go with "scheme" in the business plan.

A massive password cracking cluster.

Hefty hardware requirements.

Half a dozen or so Playstation 3s should suffice …

A couple of server cases, fill the bays with Tableau TACC1441s, how much more fun could that be?

Greetings,

We use PRTK and started looking into something "better". The Tableau route certainly would increase performance but we were really tempted by the pico computing options, and harnessing GPU cycles.

We also realized that we just don't have that much call for cracking passwords and investing the time and money in it didn't make a lot of sense. Thought about providing it as a service, but then thought about liability issues and verification of the intents of the end user in requesting the service.

So, still running PRTK….

Well here it is,

I have a server, that has a ton of space…
I'm looking for ideas to start a project that would make money or a business…
Websites
Projects
Programs
Business

forum.onlinesafehouse.com/index.php
is ran on it right now, plan on using that as a catch point if people want to get into whatever we start to do…

willing to have more members on any project that we start but were going to have to start out with no pay, once we start getting money in for whatever it is we decide to take up then it would turn into a money making scheme…

does that make more sense?

Maybe you could run some of the more specialized forensic tools in a SaaS model.

How much more expensive could that be? 8) I think this guy is a college student. At 4k a pop, he would need really rich parents.

Less expensive than running a bunch of individual computers.

Business plan setup one machine, get some clients, add an accelerator, get some income, add additional accelerators. Rinse and repeat.

Running a web server is a losing proposition. Running a service is the niche.
