I am glad the girls got out, but something is really wrong here….
Sigh…this doesn't say much for the youth of today!
Wow. Very much fitting with an article I am writing on the impact of social networks on people.
Reality becomes disjointed. Social networks replace facet-to-face communication, and not for the better. cyber space is presumed reality, but when true reality hits, the individual is unable to cope properly.
This is nothing unusual. Several years ago, a 10 yr old I know of called her friend…another 10 yr old…when she got scared b/c she heard a loud door slam shut and she thought someone had come into her house. She locked herself inside her room and was on the phone when her parents got home.
More recently, in the last year, two teen aged boys were assaulted by a group of kids in their neighborhood. One of the boys got away and walked past several homes and also several adults, and was found walking by the other boy's mother.
Social networks replace facet-to-face communication
Sounds painful lol lol
Facet-to-face is a time honored communication method. Yeah, yeah. That's the ticket! P oops
