Excuse me if this has been posted before (I remember reading about this but not sure if it was from here?)

This sounds like a potential head ache for phone examiners.

Does this mean we can no longer get deleted data from SIM cards unless we find a way to physically remove the card from the device?

We will have to examine the SIM and Handset together. Will it be possible to recover important data such as MSISDN, IMSI and ICC-ID when the card is embedded?

Time to buy shares in Faraday Bag producers lol

Look here for my post recently which gives you an image of what the M2M UICC will look like and of course it will be de-mountable.

However, the network will be using OTA activation etc for M2M SIM.

You may recall the image below, which provides some visual answers for you
