Guidance bought Tableau

My biggest concern is the future of TIM. I used v.1.0 even though you couldn't alter the image name at all. Thankfully, as Tony noted, v.1.1 changed that issue. The speed increase using TIM over FTK Imager was dramatic. The slowest speeds I've observed using TIM with firewire in and out is 2.2GB/min. Hopefully, Guidance will continue to develop TIM and not kill it off.

Agreed! We used to get 30MB/sec on a good day, now it flies along at up to 85MB/sec…wonderful! The best FTK Imager could manage with the same setup is approx 50MB/sec

I blogged about this issue this morning. I'd be curious on everyone's take on what I wrote. The executive summary is that if Guidance handles this properly, and I suspect that they will, it will be good for both Guidance, Tableau, the community and even Access Data.
