This summary of a review for a Samsung hard disk amused me. Does anyone really care what a hard drive, SSD or otherwise, looks like?

Affordable, good looking, and offering decent performance, the Samsung 840 series is an excellent SDD for home users on a budget.

There were a couple of instances in the past where I've charged extra…and once refused to image a drive…because the drive was…well…homely. It just didn't look good. 😉

I like imaging orange SSD's 😯 , in this site you can see in real time how your chosen colour SSD will look like wink

(the cyano and yellow ones are a bit too "strong" for my tastes)

I went to that site. Love the line "You are your storage…" LOL

I have a few of these cables hanging around which make it very easy to turn any SSD into a big flash drive. So maybe I care about how SSDs look after all. (Plus, good looking SSDs tend to have hot friends). D

I hid my 840 inside the computer box - have I done something wrong?

Should I cut a slot on the case so I can peep at it?

Actually there is a niche group that care a lot. It is the same group that chrome plate engine parts in their cars.

Call me "old style" as much as you want, but to me a case remains a case (a biggish dullish cube/parallelepipedon that I have to hide somewhere), with the exception for realy "creative" cases that really go "out of the usual", example

BUT, I would not completely dislike a steampunk keyboard like
