All,

Is anyone aware of organisations/institutions that perform tests of hardware write block devices other than (or, to be more precise, more recent than) NIJ / NIST (CFTT)?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
Stefan.

I believe some organizations like the RCMP and DC3 do tool validation and testing (including write-blocker testing).

Is there a particular write blocker whose testing you are wondering about?

If it is a new tool, you may be out of luck. Testing is slow and that's potentially something of a problem if you need all your tools to be tested and validated. Academics like Peter Sommer of the LSE have written about this

Thanks for the information. I couldn't find any published results, though.

Nothing in particular, no. Remember, I was referring to hardware write-blockers, not tools.

That's an interesting read. Thanks.

In the meantime, I've also found this.
