Why does it take so long to register at e-fense? I want to purchase the Helix 3 Pro and registered but heard nothing back to activate my account. I have also emailed them but no response. Are you guys hearing the same?
They are now a part of Access Data. You might want to check with them.
I bought Helix3Pro before e-fense was bought out by Accessdata.
I am not sure exactly what is going on but most are getting the same cold shoulder from e-fense and accessdata.
I have a subscription for Helix3Pro and LiveResponse and I get same treatment on e-fense forum as well as accessdata's forum about the product(s).
All I can say is good luck. It appears that either accessdata is working on Helix3Pro for upgrade reasons or they are looking to phase it out. I base this on the response it appears most are getting from them about this.
It appears that the Helix3 Pro application will be merged into FTK Imager since they both serve pretty much the same purpose. The Helix3 Pro app has always been available for Windows, Mac and Linux and now the new FTK-CLI is available for those three platforms. Coincidence? The actual CD will probably become more FTK centered and a lot of the 3rd party tools will be removed.
Balzanto - correct. I just purchased Helix3 2 weeks ago and they were providing me a lot of detail around FTK integration, however the interface hasn't changed much…yet.
