Hi There

We are looking to implement a Helpdesk Software solution in our Forensic Tech Department.

I am looking to find out if someone uses a specific Helpdesk Software solution in their Forensic Tech department our could recommend a few.

I've used OTRS before with great success - http//otrs.org/ - in fact, on implementing it we saved one fte ( much to her relief - she got to take early retirement … )

It's written in Perl, and isn't hard to modify to suit needs at all …

Hesk is also a nice php/mysql helpdesk, that i found easy to configure for our needs. http//www.hesk.com/

OTRS with SIRIOS (incident tracking/management) extension works well and is free

I recommend HappyFox ( http//www.happyfox.com), as a helpdesk for your requirements. We have used Happyfox as our internal helpdesk solution, and it has helped us track and solve all our issues efficiently. Happyfox has helped us keep our costs under control with different monthly pricing plans.
