I have 3 x 26Gb Fujitsu IDE drives config as Striped with Parity (RAID 5)
I have a separate Boot Drive
The 1st of the Fujitsu drives is connected to the Slave Primary IDE Channel. The other 2 are connected as Master & Slave on the Secondary IDE Channel. The RAID is configured as drive F:

Running Windows NT. There is no separate RAID controller.
The Disk Admin for the RAID shows Disk 1 as RED state - it is running & not masking any 'clicking' noise.
Disk 2 & 3 are BLACK state, i.e OK, altho Disk 2 has some reported Bad Blocks.

Tried to run the recovery/regeneration option & it failed after 1 hour.

I have a brand new spare Fujitsu Drive, same make, same model.

2 Questions:
I can't identify which Fujitsu drive relates to which Disk, per the Disk Admin, Is it safe to assume that Disk 1, is the Slave from the Primary IDE channel?

Can I simply remove the disk & insert the new one?

Many thanks
