Hi,
I am a graduate student studying information security and as the project i chose to implement mobile forensic supportive tool. In order to acquire full physical memory i required gain root access to the target device in a forensically sound manner. This means temporary rooting once reboot device has to unroot.
I had a search on the web for available free tools in many forums. There were only few posts regarding soft rooting. I noticed it is required to reboot the device after installing provided .apks and apps like BusyBox. This will cause to loss of volatile data.
I am hoping to use Samsung Galaxy S3 as for now and to use HTC device as well in future.
Please help me to find out a way to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 in a way that it preserve forensic value of evidences and volatile data lie on device.
Please comment and guide me toward the success of my university project.
Many thanks!
Kind Regards,
Indi
