I am in the process of recovering data from a damaged hard drive.
I need to add the hex signature and offset for file ext .aac and .m4a to the data recovery software.
Where can I find signature info?
Thanks

Are there any .aac and .m4a files in the image that aren't deleted?

not sure what files are on the drive. my client indicated that he was interested in recovering any itunes files and ms.word docs.

What Harlan is saying in an obtuse way is that if you have access to files of those type, you can inspect the files and deduce the header yourself. Back when we used our own in-house developed carving tool, we had to research new file types ourselves and add them to the list.
