Hi All,
Visited the ForensicFocus homepage first thing this morning (I always like to read the new posts in the forums that Jamie provides at the top of the page) only to find that a single recruiter had 'hijacked' all 5 entries.
Personally, I think this type of practice needs to be strongly discouraged.
'Lesley' should have posted one entry stating that she was seeking multiple positions.
Using Jamie's excellent site as a 'free classifieds' site IMHO takes away from the purpose and objectives of this terrific resource.
Christine
Christine,
Lesley had quite correctly posted ads for individual vacancies to the appropriate forum (in fact, it was I who suggested that she do so after she contacted me earlier today). The "hijacking" you refer to is simply a consequence of the front page automatically displaying the most recent forum posts - posts which are quickly replaced by new topics. There was no intent by Lesley to take unfair advantage of our resources I assure you!
Appreciate your kind words about the site but I'm happy for job vacancies to be posted as I think it's useful for all our members.
Kind regards,
Jamie
I'll just add to that, Christine, that your point is well taken - if we do suddenly get a sustained increase in the number of vacancies being posted I'll make sure that they don't hog the "new posts" section on the front page unnecessarily. Up to now, though, they've been fairly few/sporadic.
Jamie
How exactly does an EXCESS of job postings constitute a problem?
To the OP Do you complain to your employer about too many customers? Rule of Thumb Think before you complain.
<suckup alert>
This site needs to change NOTHING that I have found so far. The resource is essentially unique.

I would like to see more of this type of "hijacking" please.
Ta!
Personally I think the site should just have one big banner pointing to my podcast 😉
