As we know that some devices come with locked bootloaders like Sony, HUAWEI, hTC…If you try to unlock bootloader, the data would disappear!!!
Take hTC d826Y for example, our goal is to do physical acquisition so as to carve deleted data. But hTC D826Y is not on the support list of UFED or XRY, so there is nothing they can do. If you want to root this phone, you have to unlock bootloader first. Some may say backup all data first then root it, but how to backup "all" data is still a problem for an unrooted Android phone.

Take a look at XTC 2. It's able to s-off the device as well as unlock bootloader without wiping (this needs testing as it may work differently for each device) data and once you'll have s-off just flash custom recovery and root the device.
No idea about SONY or Huawei (unless they're MTK based), but ISP or chip-off might be the only option.

Not every model got bootloader support. That measn we have find a way to deal with those phones with locked bootloader.

According to Clockworkmod, the Helium application can backup the following types of data to an internal SD card, or to a Cloud storage account
Contacts - Backup call log and sms
SMS - Backup call log and sms
Accounts - Backup and restore from Drive
Phone State - Uniquely identify phone for Android to Android sync
Read Logs - Debugging and bug reports
Wifi - Make sure scheduled backups only happen on wifi
One would have to install the Helium application on the Android phone in order for Helium to perform a backup.
I have not tested the application, but it might at least get the desired data off of an Android phone.
