how to deal with .img ( android )

hello folk …. i have an image taken from android device that running android 4 … but it's .img !! when i try to open it in ftk i got this … 1- how i can read the file structure ?? 2- how i can know what is th date of last android factory reset ??3- is there anyway to conert this .img to work with vmware ??

If you do not mind, please write out the steps and tools you used to run the fdisk command.

For example, did you use a Linux OS machine to run fdisk?
