Yesterday I made a "copy" of my settings and some files by using a "easy file transfer tool" from Win 7 pro.
but today I forgot this password (I didn't save them - my mistake). It's only a test but I been thinking about that what should I do or what can I do when I receive a case where I will need to open a .mig file ?
I searched on a google but I didn't find any good solution… Is any tool to "recover" a password from that .mig file ?

.mig file, the file created by Windows Easy Transfer or Microsoft User State Migration Tool (USMT) holds crucial data. Will it be secure to traverse this file via a third party tool? If yes, the biggest question is which brand are you going to trust?
How about using the Usmtutils theory for extracting the data?
