Hi,

I've written my first ever blog post, a walk-through on how to root a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge without the need to wipe the data and how to get a physical read with UFED.

You can check it out here

http//blog.pnb.io/2017/05/how-to-root-galaxy-s7-edge-without.html

It includes screenshots of every step and links to download the requirements.

You can also look for more posts in the future here

If you have any feedback, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Patrick

Arr well. When I worked it out on the 06.11.2016 I couldn't find a none wipe method even on xda forums. Either way it can be just used as an easy guide to root then.

Thanks for your reply.

6.0.1 is easy, even when it is encrypted. Just flash Chainfire auto root with odin ( https://autoroot.chainfire.eu).

The real challenge is a G935F with Nougat!

In your case, you could have even just used the Advanced ADB Method in UFED since your device has a security patch level older than December 2016. No need to flash it with TWRP and trigger the warranty bit.
