triple_a do you have access to XRY or UFED? Both are capable of cracking/bypassing iPhone passwords

D

It wasn't clear to me that you were asking in regards to Forensics as opposed to general unlocking, my apologies I must have got the wrong end of the stick.

triple_a if you have UFED then I'm assuming you have the Physical Analyser software?

If that's the case then you should be able to recover the password by using that. I've tested and used this method quite a few times and it generally takes about 20 minutes or so to crack the password. I'm not 100% sure on the support for the older 3G model, can you confirm that it is 3G? What's the model number on the back of the phone?

iXam just bypasses the password to enable the download, but I haven't used iXam for some time so they may have updated to allow password recovery now.

I am not 100% sure, but anything before the 3GS, the PINis not recovered, it just bypasses due to the program not needing the PIN to gain access to the data.

If I understand it, the PIN is only recoverable on devices that have the encrypted OS (3GS, 4 and 4S).

Please correct me if I am wrong.

you may be right….I can't find any documentation with my kit about that specifically, I'll try and find a work mates iPhone that is 3G and test that. But I'm sure RonS or someone might be able to confirm that.

Thanks for the advice

Physical Analyser ver 3 recover the password within no more than 10 minutes.

I have Nokia N8 locked with the password, I tried to use UFED but I could not unlock the Phone.

What is your advice??
