Would appretiate any help that anyone can offer.

Cd recovered with 3 wps files, # value has been generated during examination.

The original tower we have, the three matching docunents have been identified on the disk all wps with matching file names and # values.

There is a further copy of the three files in another folder on the disk, all again wps files same file names. # values are different

these are large and significant any pointers to any software that could read and compare wps files, have found some for docs. Have tried converting to doc file but no corrections etc found.

# values indicate the contents of file are different, I know the question will arise what is different in the three files. Or shall I request some good proof readers?

Any Ideas

Ta

Steve

If you want to examine the actual contents of the file, MS has a Works to Word converter. click here

Once you have the files converted to something useful use can use a file comparison program like Diff Doc from Softinterface to compare the files. Or the significantly less expensive CompareIt! from Grig Software which is not quite as tidy, but 1/10 the price. If you convert to a TXT file, you can use a freeware program like WinMerge, but you lose the formatting which may or may not be an issue.
