As I started my career in forensics from video and image analysis I thought I'd pass on this interesting set of stories. I realize most here are the suppliers of images/data scrutinized further up the chain, but as I have discovered most here are info vacuums regarding all aspects of forensics.
This triptych of stories has resonance for readers here as it lays out one of the hazards of forensic research.

A brief look at the third link and its suggested implication reminds me that in this job we are best advised to reserve voicing our opinions until our being "to be sure, to be sure" is not shown as " to be unsure, to be sure"!
