Greetings everyone and apologies beforehand if this has been posted previously however, I could not find a similar thread. Currently I am trying to image a Motorola A855 running Android however, the screen is cracked so I cannot tell Android to go into debug mode. Without having to obviously replace the digitizer, has anyone run into this issue before. Since most phones will be detected without intervention (answering a question physically on the phone), was simply wondering if someone had overcome this issue before and if so, how did you do so?

I have this problem before with other phones and have worked around it by working out the key operations on an identical device with a working screen. It has always worked for me anyway. )

Is this handset supported for JTAG imaging? If so you could go down that route. Not sure whether it is though.

I have ran into this issue a few times. One of the times I did the same process as Redcelica67 stated. The others I ended up obtaining a donor device and just replaced the broken parts.

I would like to know more about the JTAG approach also.
