Hello all,

Wondering if any of you are using TX1's and are able to image to a network? Been playing around with it for a while and can't seem to get anywhere. I am able to image to local drive fine over network but cant get the TX1 to mount to the network share. Anyone experienced the same issues?

Thanks,

Passmark's OSForensics tool may provide some guidance https://www.osforensics.com/faqs-and-tutorials/imaging-a-network-location.html

Hi,

To clarify are you trying to image a source drive connected locally to TX1 to a network share or are you looking to acquire the contents of a network share?

I have in the past been successful in imaging a locally connect drive to a network share with the TD3, but have yet to try our TX1 (I know we have one in the office and can give it a try)

Also, if you haven't already done so Tableau have released a firmware update for TX1, version 2.0 was release in October and the most recent (v 2.1.1) in February. It would seem that this included updates to network support.

The following provides the release notes

Yes trying to image a source drive connected locally to TX1 to a network share. We can ping the TX1 from the networked PC so we know that it can see it, we just can't get it to mount to it. We have updated the firmware but still no luck, wondering if maybe there is restrictions on the network.

If you have any luck with it let me know! Cheers

Supports CiFS shares only. I have gotten it to work, long time ago.

But I don't bother anymore, I just mount the drive as an iSCSI device and connect to it across the network for imaging. Works great.
