I can't find my invisible mouse! Oh wait, there it is. It was in some of the unallocated space on my desktop. Right behind the pencil cup. 😉

@db101 Are you looking for data or are you hoping data won't be found?

You need to elaborate on which side of the fence you are in order to get assistance here, or not as the case may be.

Yes they remain on the hard drive. But, locating them depends on how much the computer was used during the time period.

Thanks for your help. How likely is it that an msn conversation or email from 3 years ago could be found on a computer that is used very often.
Also is it easier to find emails than msn conversations

When you say MSN do you mean Outlook emails and Instant Msgs ?
The answer is yes, the potential is very good that the deleted emails would be recoverable as well as the IMs.

Exactly. Any type of emails or instant messages, website information, files and more can potentially be located and the fragmented information can be reconstructed.
Our company does this type of Data Recovery and have for over 15 years. But, one of the other questions you were asked is if you are concerned about them being found or do you need them ? If you want them gone that can be done too.
