OK, going out on a limb here, but does anybody have any ideas how this file is populated? If it is user generated or the text is already there or if added from the user dictionary?

I've got some people getting excited about buzzwords found in this text file (shooting, killing, hostage etc) and I'm 99.9% sure this is a pre-populated file, but would like to confirm before I say its safe to ignore it. (there are a thousand other innocuous words in there also)

I've tried some self online research (Google) into this, but can't seem to find anything.

Any help much appreciated.

PS. The file lives in ./Documents/Freq_Lists/en.txt on IOS devices. (this is from an iPad)

A shot in the dark, but it "sounds" like a "frequency list"
http//en.wiktionary.org/wiki/WiktionaryFrequency_lists

And it is likely to be a "pre-populated" one, used for auto-completion or autocorrect or spelling check (or similar).

However it would be rather easy to compare the files from two different devices and see if they match.
Cannot say (but it sounds like "personally added words" go *somewhere else*) if it can be changed by the user, but it is likely to be connected to these functions
