we have an iPhone 4 (A1332) iOS 8.1 that is disabled for more than 24 million of minutes. We need to access to photos and videos. Is there any possibilities excluded UFED. The owner can't afford the rent.
Thanks

Why/How it got disabled?

There are reports that this can be due both because of removing the battery during a repair (lost date/time) or because several attempts to access it with the wrong password were made .

Do you have the actual unlock password?

In some cases it has been reported that inserting another SIM that autosyncs the phone to the current date-time is enough to get back to the "normal" slide to unlock screen.

We had that kind of phone a couple of times. The reason is that the battery was all dead (as you know apple keep at least %1 to make it live) since the phone lost all the battery it loses all the data for the time settings and it rolls back to the original mac time which is 1st of January 1970.

When you power the phone it loses all its settings but somehow calculates the day we are in and telling us we have to wait 23 million minutes.

There should be 2 solutions

1- Connect the phone to a computer which was synced before (haven't tried and can't confirm)
2- Put a PIN disabled SIM card and power the phone on so it updates the date and time from GSM operator. As soon as it updates the date and time, power the phone off and power on again.

The second option would be the easier one most of the time.

Unluckly I am still here. I inserted a SIM in the phone. Then power on.
First time can't fine the network. So I restarted the phone.
The secondo time on the screening appear the signal strength and the operatori. I tried to phone to the number but sound free and nothing happens on the iPhone. So it is still disabled.
What I have to do?
Thanks

1st time power on and connect to cellular is clear that this fails until the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) silently provides the carrier config you find in Settings, General, Carrier. As you may changed the MNO from the previous, this runs this way
