Firstly, I apologise if this has already been asked.

How does one deal with analysing a password protected iPhone 4 or other device running ios4?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Whilst on the subject of iPhones has anyone managed the 3.1.3 either with the Zdziarski method?

According to Jonathan the 3.1.3 tools will work but they need to be run on the computer which the device is paired/synced with. I have tried the scripts on 3.1.3 and a certain function fails to assert successfully as a result of this.

We are thinking that using some files from the paired computer on a lab computer we may be able to trick the scripts/iPhone into working with however this is as far untested.

As far as 4.0+ goes I think you may be out of luck.

I believe it's possible to do so using a Cellebrite UFED with the Physical Pro module if you have access to the host computer the iDevice has been synched with.
