We have an iphone 5s locked with a four digit passcode.
Is there any way currently to crack the passcode and acquire any of the data on it?
I know this was possible on older models, but can someone please give an up to date reply on a 5s currently?

It not really depends on the model but of the version of IOS.
You can use ifunbox to determine the version. Have a look at Ifunbox dll replacement
If it is IOS<8.1 then have a look at mfc, ip box or svstrike. Try the search features on the forum.

The lockdown file is worth a try if you have the pc of course and then hope the phone didnt reboot and it's <30 days.

To get the version of the iOS running on the phone can't you just hook it to a computer that is not running iTunes and check properties? It worked for me the other day, but I was looking at a 4.
So long as the device is not running 8.3 (latest iOS) you can get the code with a brute force device such as ip box. We have several and typically perform this function several times a month.
Personally, I could not make the IP-Box / MFC dongle work with any device running anything newer than iOS version 8.1.0.
personally, the ipbox has "bricked" multiple devices that I have attempted to use it on. it is my understanding that ios8x has patched the vulnerability employed by the ipbox.

Same here, bricked a couple of devices, but we were using a "Start Delay" of only 10 seconds. Now, we are using a delay of 40 seconds and we have not bricked a device yet.
