I have a iphone 6 and i wipe and reset the phone. I want to use it in research and testing case. But when i want to configure that iphone 6 and connect to itune, it still lock to a email account. Can i reset this or the phone still locked to the last owner?

After the case was close to the court, the judge give me the permission to use it for research and testing.

Thanks for your solution

I place iphone 6 in dfu mode and connect to itune to restore it.

Probably the icloud still connected in the ios partition so i cant restore like a brand new iphone never activated

Nothing to do with iCloud data still on the partition, apple makes you verify with their servers before a 'flash' finishes.

Your need to get hold of the original owners details and reset it or get them to reset it. anecdotal evidence from peers has informed me even with a court order apple aren't very good at reseting this lock for you.

If you could get around this apple wouldn't be doing their job right and a lot of people would be able to steal iPhones and use them again.

There was a proxy server that worked around this using a modification of the hosts file but it got shut down a while ago.

The iPhone is absolutely wiped if you see the "Hello" screen.

What you are experiencing is the iCloud activation lock. You need to enter the username and password of the last used iCloud account in order to activate the phone. Alternatively, you may go to iCloud.com, login with your account and remove the device from your "Find my iPhone" setting.

This happens because "Find my iPhone" was not deactivated when you wiped the device.

Correct me if i get it wrong.

I usually think the reset process in iphone is simply removing the original key and replaced with a new one and format then encrypt the partition again. And It is not a wiping process to me though.

Wiping, to me, is an overwritting process which write a defined pattern of data onto the device thoroughly.

Yes, as far as I know you are correct. Still, if the key is overwritten you got only a buch of useless data left.
