I have recently had an iphone that has text messages on stating "new voicemail message please dial 121"
how come the voicemail hasn't automatically dropped onto the phone as a .amr file?
The phone is not jailbroken, any ideas people?
Voicemail only gets downloaded onto the handset if the operator supports the Visual Voicemail system.
If the operator does not, the user has to dial in to the network to listen to voicemail messages.

No worries Big Jon, my fault for being lazy. I should drink more coffee before posting.
I think O2 might be the only provider in the Uk offering Visual Voicemail…. does anyone disagree? I recently left o2 with my 3Gs to go to T-Mobile and now have to dial my voicemails……..
Heres a full list from apple.

Hi
I used to be on pay as you go with O2 and didnt have visual voicemail. I now have a contract and have visual voicemail. This may be the case if the phone is registered with O2.
