I have an interesting problem, hoping someone here has an idea.

I have an iPod touch 4th Gen with a broken power button and complex passcode enabled, oh and the device is also disabled (showing try again in 1,277 minutes).

I can't get the device into DFU mode by the normal means for UFED to do it's thing, I can't backup the iPod in iTunes to use the redsn0w method of backup/restore special DFU ispw then jailbreak etc..

I should clarify that this is my daughters iPod so forensic soundness is irrelevant, I'm happy to restore the factory but I'm trying to recover the photos before I kill and reset.

I'm tempted to try and reset somehow then use UFED to do a physical dump and hopefully recover the photos that way, as from memory the earlier versions of iOS didn't use any encryption on unallocated space, but I don't want to go down that path if there is another option.

Any idea's?

Edit slight change of plan here as I decided to take the redsn0w approach and have successfully forced the iPod into DFU mode, now I just need to get UFED PA to recognise the phone as it doesn't like the fact I've tried to skip a step I think. RonS any advice/help?
