Barring a subpoena, no free web mail service will have the manpower to even look into the issue. I would consider the email gone, everything else isn't cost effective.

IMHO

I'm not sure I understand your question.

So, your Yahoo ID was hacked - meaning someone changed the password and/or details of your account. Then you were able to wrest control of the ID from the hacker and gain access to your account. And your concern is that email may currently or previously been forwarded from that account to somewhere else?

I don't think there really is any way to bypass the email in Yahoo mail, though I could be mistaken. I know you can set it up with a different email address for registration information, but that doesn't 'bypass' receipt of email to your Yahoo account if that was where the mail was addressed to.

What makes you think that email was 'bypassed'? Have you looked in the sent folder of your Yahoo account to see if anything shows forwarded? Are there any records in the Trash folder?

I somewhat agree with ddow in the sense that this is a pretty small matter and Yahoo may not be of much assistance, though you may want to try calling/emailing them for guidance. Normally, the problem with this type of issue is the fact that it is very difficult to confirm that the person who registered for the account is actually who is on the telephone line, so carriers won't provide much information without going through legal channels.
