Thank you again, I have decided to take your advise and boot up each device to DEFT and use GYMR / FTK to image the drives unencrypted to a NAS.

It would be interesting if you could report later what performance you managed to achieve. Imaging speed and compression ratio, and maybe disks imaged per day.

About the large archive solution.
You may/should ask your internal IT department if there are already solutions in place to save such high amount of data including the option to safe the data on tapes, including redundancy in a different data center.
Just bying a few NAS, even bying an EMC NAS or similar might end up in a desaster in four or five years, when you figure out that your data is gone for some reasons.
